Chris is an associate whose practice focuses on employment-based immigration matters, including PERM labor certification applications, I-140 immigrant visa petitions, and adjustment of status applications. He also works on EB-1 outstanding researcher and extraordinary ability petitions and nonimmigrant matters such as H-1B visa petitions and L-1 intracompany transferee visa petitions. Chris is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Northern California Chapter and serves on its Advisory Council. He has received numerous Pro Bono awards from AILA National. He has been selected for inclusion as a Rising Star in Northern California Super Lawyers® since 2015. Only 2.5% of the lawyers in California are selected for this recognition each year.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris acquired immigration law experience on the legal staff of deportation defense firms in San Francisco and London, United Kingdom. He also served as a Legal Research Attorney at the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco.

While earning his LL.M. degree at Boalt Hall, U.C. Berkeley (Berkeley Law), Chris was Senior Articles Editor of the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law. At Oxford, where he earned his U.K. graduate law degree, he was Associate Editor of the Oxford University Commonwealth Law Journal and developed an interest in United States constitutional law. As an undergraduate in Law from King’s College, London, he won the Albert Kiralfy Prize (Best Dissertation) in History of English Law.

Chris is a member of the California State Bar and is registered to practice before all U.S. Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
